We, as humans, mistreat the animal population.
On a smaller scale, the human population wastes domestic and wild animals for medical testing, for their fur, and for entertainment such as dog fighting.
These things may not seem globally threatening, but the constant waste of certain animal species and the destruction of an animal’s natural habitat will lead to the endangerment and eventual extinction of the species .
Also, many people don’t know that the world is currently in the midst of the largest mass extinction in history.
The use of domesticated and wild animals by the human population is horrific and dangerously frivolous.
For example, the use of vivisection or animal testing could be examined.
More than fifty million animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits and mice are killed in laboratories every year worldwide and undergo a myriad of painful procedures.
Although many supporters of vivisection believe that it is necessary to test products on animals to ensure that our children are protected from numerous dangers, many doctors do not believe so.
As mentioned earlier, the frivolous use of animal skins for coats, hats and other clothing and entertainment such as violent dog fighting also add to the waste of many animals.
The cases in the above information may not appear to lead to extinction because the animals involved appear to be abundant.
For example, Asiatic bears are now on the endangered animal list due to the fact that the Chinese population confines them in farms and gives them little or no food or water.
In addition, animals such as the black rhinoceros (whose horns are ground into powder for use as a fever-reducing agent in traditional Eastern medicines and cut into dagger handles in the Middle East) and the elephant African (whose ivory tusks have been hunted). centuries) are declining sharply due to human needs.

Humans are the sole source of this mass extinction, either through hunting and habitat loss explained above or the fact that the six billion human inhabitants of Earth are using up nearly 50 % of the total energy available to sustain life on Earth. This is a staggering statistic and the horror of it is that one species, the human, is the cause of this mass extinction.
Unfortunately, the above material becomes completely ineffective for many people due to the fact that there seems to be no overall superficial impact on humans.
The abuse of animals and the destruction of their habitats are global problems because the mass extinction of the earth’s species will eventually cause our own downfall.
Every creature on Earth serves a specific purpose or function, and since these creatures are unable to perform these functions due to extinction, the lack of biodiversity will eventually come and wipe out the entire human population.
